Frequently Asked Questions
-
Does the low cost of €2.50 mean an inferior quality diary?
Absolutely not, Student First diaries will be of excellent quality. Covers are laminated to provide extra durability which will ensure that the diary will remain in perfect condition during the school year.
-
How are the health messages shown on the diary?
Leading Irish nutritionist Paula Mee provides invaluable information for parents and children about healthy eating and healthy living. Exciting and scrumptious options for breakfast and lunch are suggested by Paula, all of which contribute to healthy minds and healthy bodies for children. Some interesting and fun facts about food are printed at the top of each page eg. eg “Apples contain a mineral called boron which helps your bones to stay healthy and strong”.
- How can Student First provide diaries at cost – do you not need to make a profit?
Our primary objective in setting up Student First is to make a difference by promoting health and fitness. We hope to recoup costs by providing advertising to companies who market and supply healthy foods, but profit is secondary.
-
What type of companies would advertise and how will this look?
We will not seek any support from local companies in your area. We get support from national companies who promote healthy products and from sporting bodies who provide opportunities for young people to engage in healthy and exciting activities. These companies (only) will be allowed to place adverts in the journal. Sample diaries are available by sending a request to admin@studentfirst.ie or sally@studentfirst.ie. You can call us on (067) 23838 or (086) 1716753
An electronic copy of the journal is also available on this website. (See homepage)
